JUL. 24. 200711 : 31AM N0. 037 P. 2
David Washburn I u
2654 Lexington Ave.N
Roseville,MN 55113
July 24,2007
Work: 763-514-4165 -
Home: 651-765-1722
Attn: Zoning Office
I recently purchased(Nov.06)this property and am looking to make several small
landscape updates.
Provided is a drawing of my cabin on Ham Lake, 28880 Sweger Road. On the South side
of the cabin from the chimney to the back corner(approx. 34')I am looking to put
landscape rock approx 2 ft.wide by 34 feet under the eves. There are currently no gutters
and the rain is creating an indention in the durt. Currently the landscape rock is already
around the entire cabin except this area,
I am also looking to put in a small 2 foot high by 3'x 18' retaining wall to hold back
some soil in the Southwest corner of the cabin. The Southwest corner of the hill was
slightly cut out prior to us purchasing the property. The grade is about 2 feet higher in the
Southwest comer and tapers off to level 3'in one direction.and 18' in the other direction.
This area is just outside the 75' distance from the high water mark.Without putting a
retaining wall up the sand would eventually fall and the landscape would start eroding.
In a verbal conversion with Jim Flanigan,he said based on the information I gave him
that is stated above I should not need a permit. He said to send in a sketch though.A
sketch is provided with this letter explaining the intent of the landscaping. Please let me
know any feedback on this plan.
David Washburn
Thank you, ( ,i✓ n /I } .,✓
1 r
di S
a
