NO. 217584) BEING PART OF GOV'T LOT 6 OF SEC. 9,T. 38 N.,
R. 15 W.,TOWN OF LAFOLLETTE, BURNETT COUNTY,WISCONSIN.
BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION:
A resurvey and subdivision of Lot I of Certified Survey Map Number 1415. Said CSM having been recorded in
Volume 7 of CSM's on Pages 109& 110 as Document Number 217584. Said CSM being part of Government Lot
6 of Section 9,Township 38 North, Range 15 West of the Fourth Principal Meridian,Town of LaFollette,
Burnett County, Wisconsin. The boundary of said resurvey being more particularly described by the following
metes and bounds description: COMMENCING at a 4" cast iron monument found for the North Quarter Corner
of said Section 9;Thence N88°36'05"W a distance of 400.00 feet;Thence S00°00'00"E a distance of 49.63
feet to a found 1.05" iron pipe (outside diameter) and the POINT OF BEGINNING;Thence S57°29'13"E a
distance of 124.70 feet to a 1.05" iron pipe;Thence S16°06'38"E a distance of 664.96 feet to a 1.315" iron
pipe(outside diameter)found on the meander line as defined in CSM No. 1415;Thence S83°35'08"W on said
meander line a distance of 162.74 feet to a 1.315" iron pipe;Thence S39°29'43"W on said meander line a
distance of 219.72 feet to a 1.315" iron pipe;Thence N44°53'45"W a distance of 105.41 feet to a 1.05" iron
pipe;Thence N21°03'47"W a distance of 92.60 feet to a 1.05" iron pipe;Thence N16°5l'00"E a distance of
311.88 feet to a 1.05" iron pipe;Thence N16°45'20"W a distance of 276.63 feet to a 1.05" iron pipe;Thence
N32°45'08"E a distance of 201.12 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Said boundary is subject to all
reservations, restrictive covenants, utility agreements, easements and rights of way of record or
ascertainable by visual inspection.
The original boundary of Lot I of CSM No. 1415 calls to include the lands between the meander line and the
"waters edge" which was typical at that time. However, the state asserts ownership to the bed of all lakes in
the State of Wisconsin. The boundary between the bed of the lake and the upland owner is defined as the
ordinary high water mark. I note on the face of this map that it appears in the original survey a portion of
lake bed was included north of the meander line in the southeast corner of Lot I (the additional lands
between the water edge at that time and the ordinary high water mark could have been significant, evidenced
by the difference in our distances between the found monuments along the meander line and the
approximate OHWM or water edge). The area of Lot I as shown on this survey includes the lands up to the
approximate ordinary high water mark of Bass Lake. For reference purposes, I also include the following
additional figures for the original boundary of Lot I of CSM No. 1415: Area to meander line as described =
4.73 acres or 206,000 square feet. Area to the approximate ordinary high water mark= 4.72 acres or
205,460 square feet.
00""""1"1"10/0
;SGO/V f•N•••• 14 /moi
/GREGORY z
J.
