Page 2
December 13, 2021
LLPOA is willing to enter into a written agreement as follows:
1 . In 2023, an additional 4 boat slips added to Cadotte and 14
more added in 2025; and
2. Any agreement must be submitted to Burnett County for
review and approval; and, if no agreement can be reached,
VV agrees to submit its proposed boat slip expansion plan
to Burnett County for review and approval; and
3. The two associations will create a joint water quality and
testing committee that will monitor the water quality on
Loon/Cadotte; follow and participate in the Wisconsin
watercraft carrying capacity of lakes studies being
explored by the Wisconsin Lakes organization; and follow
and evaluate the similar studies being undertaken in
Minnesota and Wisconsin; and
4. Retain an independent water testing company or agency to
conduct annual testing of water quality on Loon and
Cadotte Lakes; said costs to be shared equally by VV and
LLPOA; and
5. Delay any further boat slip expansions on Loon/Cadotte
until all information gathered in Item's 3 and 4 above can
be evaluated by VV and LLPOA.
Thank you for your time and assistance in attempting to arrive at a
plan that balances the needs for protection of the water quality and
fish and plant life of Loon/Cadotte and VV's needs to provide
more access to Cadotte Lake for its members.
