issues. She said that Jason Towne with the Zoning Department told them the fence needed to be
movable due to the flood plain of the lake. Ms. Timberlake said that it could have been Mr. Towne
but she thought he would have let them know that he would be there. Mr. Swyer was extremely
upset and said that it was an invasion of their privacy because who ever it was took pictures of
their residence. He was also upset that the males were on his property. I told them that I would
make contact with the neighbor and try and figure out who it was. Mr. Swyer said that he wanted
to press charges on whoever it was.
I went to the edge of the fence and looked for footprints in the snow. The only foot tracks that I
could find were out on the lake and there were no footprints on Mr. Swyer's property. I made
contact with the neighbor and asked if he knew who had been taking pictures of Mr. Swyer's
residence. He told me that it was Mr. Towne, but he had been in his shop, so he didn't know if they
had taken pictures or not. I thanked him for his time and returned to Mr. Swyer's residence. I told
Mr. Swyer that the only footprints in the snow were out on the ice and that there were no prints on
his property. I also told them that the person was Mr. Towne and not the neighbor. Mr. Swyer
said that he didn't care who it was and wanted to press charges. I told him that I would confirm
that it was Mr. Towne but if it was him and he was there on official business, we would get it
figured out.
I made phone contact with Mr. Towne and he confirmed that he had been at the residence and was
taking pictures of the fence.
CONCLUSION
This is all the information I have at this time.
Chad Brugman / 518
Burnett County Sheriff's Department
