ZONING commTC`1'E MEE
?_TING
TUESDAY, FEBRIIA Y 1 2000
BURNETT COUNTY tpOVh MENTCENTER
MEMBERS PRESENT; Poretti, Bohn, Peterson, Alderrrlan and Engelhart
OTHERS PRESENT: Flanigan
Chairperson Poretti called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Flanigan read the notice of public hearing
as published in the Burnett County Sentinel.
CONDITIONAL PERMIT#1129— GLORVIGEN AN11 OUENZ.ER
Al Glorvigen and Douglas Quenzer are requesting to allow manufactured home models, showroom and
sales, located in the C-1 zoning district, on Lots 17 and'; 18 and Outlot 1 of Plat of West Progress
Addition, Section 5, T38 R16W, Town of Siren.
Neither Al Glorvigen or Douglas Quenzer were present. Discussion was held.
Motion made by Alderman to APPROVE Conditional Permit #1129 with the conditions that no more
than one structure per parcel be allowed and that the structures would not be used for residential
purposes. Motion second by Bohn. Motion carried.
Charles Lauer- Subdivision Preapplication
The Committee reviewed a preliminary certified survey neap for the creation of two lots on Class 1,
North Sand Lake, submitted by surveyor, Tom Swenson'for the owner, Charles Lauer. The legal
description is part of Government Lot 1, Section 26, Township 40 North, Range 15 West. Lots need to
be 150 feet wide with a minimum of 30,000 square feet in size. Motion made by Bohn to approve the
preliminary map with the condition that there be one dwelling unit per parcel only. Motion second by
Engelhart. Motion carried.
Review of Conditional Permit #1110
The Committee reviewed conditional permit #1110 that was issued to Walter Albrecht for a light
industrial operation. It was noted that this conditional permit was granted subject to the following:
review to be done in 6 months to address complaints (if any); follow up in one year, DNR will be asked
to give input on noise and air quality, and no further expansion of the buildings. No complaints have
been received so no review was needed at 6 months, however, since it has been a year, a follow up will
need to be done. Flanigan will write a letter to the owner to ask him to attend the March Zoning
Committee Meeting in order to perform a yearly review of;this operation. Flanigan will also contact
the DNR to review the input on noise and air quality.
Luther Point
The Committee reviewed a letter that was received by Craig Corbin of Luther Point Bible Camp asking
for approval of moving the family cabins so they are conforming structures. Discussion was held on
whether a conditional permit would be needed. Flanigan will talk to Corporation Counsel to see if the
camp could move these cabins beyond the 75-foot setback without a conditional permit.
