Welland Delineation eport JL Jensen Tax'n of Oakland
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A wetland delineation boundary survey was completed on Big Yellow lake Estates, Lot 1,
Section 29, Township 40 North, Range 16 West, Town of Oakland, Burnett County,
Wisconsin on July 05, 2014. The delineation was performed to document the existing
1 wetland(s) and incorporate this information into future construction and or development plan
for the required wetland setback(s).
The methods used for the delineation were based on the"US Army Corps of Engineering
(ACOS) Wetlands Delineation Manual' (technical Report Y-87-I). A series of"points"
were used to document the vegetation, hydrology and soil on the property. One drainage
ditch was observed that runs along the south side of Jeffries Road. The ditch grade runs east
to west into/toward Big Yellow Lake. Wetlands were identified in the surrounding low-lying
area. The wetland boundary adjacent to the proposed building site(s) were marked with pink
glow flagging tape and were surveyed by Wagner Surveying.
It appears that two soil types have been mapped on the property. The most abundant soil type
within the survey area is Meehan loamy sand and this soil type was found in the wetland area
delineated.
The Wisconsin Welland Inventory Map indicated that the entire property may have wetland
indicators. The map also indicated that all but the northwest corner of this lot may be a
wetland and that it appears that the entire lot is outside of the potential filled area. This can be
seen on the map located in Appendix C.
The wetland delineation survey identified one wetland boundary that runs along the northern
& western sides of the property which are more or less parallel to Big Yellow fake and
Jefferies Road and the western and northern side of the proposed building site.
The wetland delineated consists of an alder thicket. The building site is shown to be within a
wetland area (see WIDNR wetland inventory map). Based on the wetland survey, there is a
good portion of the property that is not wetland.
The Ordinary High water mark was previously set at 930.50'. The Wetland delineation
flagged and surveyed on the site has an average elevation of 931.7'.
hi,2014 Nartm C Shutt 1
Wetland Delincrtion Hcport-JE Jensen
