Routine wetland determination data forms were completed to
collect the following information:
• A determination of the presence or absence of a normal circumstances,
An assessment of the dominant plant community using the"50/20 Rule',
• The plant species indicator status, following categories outlined in the USACE
• 1987 Manual,
Soil Pits were dug to a depth of 20'and soil was evaluated for hydric soil
characteristics (organic material, soil color)and
• Hydrology was assessed through observation of primary (i.e. inundation, water
marks, drainage patterns) and Secondary (i.e. water staining, FAC-Neutral test)
indicators of wetland hydrology.
'fhe wetland boundary along each transect was determined based on changes in the
vegetation, hydrology, topography and/or soil type. This boundary was marked with pink
glow flagging tape and was surveyed by Wagner Surveying,
I RESULTS
Site Description
Big Yellow Lake Estates, Lot 1, Section 29, Township 40 North, Range 16 West, Town of
Oakland, Burnett County, Wisconsin. The existing site had no visible structures.
The wetland delineation survey conducted marked one welland boundary adjacent to the
proposed building site. A separate boundary may be present within the northwest corner of
the property as indicated on the Wisconsin inventory map (App. C).
Field Observations
Wetland Boudary-Alder Thicket
The dominant herbaceous vegetation was a combination of Sedge (Carex OHL) &
Raspberry Species (Rubus L. FACW-). The dominant shrub specie was Speckled
Alder (Alnus incana ssp. rugosa OBL).
Saturated soil was not observed within the upper 12 inches. The soils consisted of
Meehan loamy sand (3125A) with a matrix color of 2.5YR3/3 to 5YR3/3 within the
upper 12".
July, 2011 M,u,,e.Short 3 We0ana Delineation Ncpon-rF,ler ven
