6 . <br /> As Presented for Adoption air August 92021 <br /> the general purpose to lessen the congestion on public highways; to secure safety and <br /> promote health and the general welfare; to encourage the protection of groundwater <br /> quality, public water supply, streams and springs, and air quality; to avoid undue <br /> concentration of land uses that may adversely impact public health, adjacent land uses <br /> and/or land values; <br /> WHEREAS,in order to provide meaningful update to and implementation of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan and complete the statutorily required process for adoption of a <br /> Zoning Ordinance, the Town Board finds that it is prudent, reasonable and necessary to <br /> preserve the existing uses as detailed in the Comprehensive Plan in 2010,and control the <br /> administration and enforcement of said existing uses, by adoption of an Interim Zoning <br /> Ordinance; and, <br /> NOW, TITEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE FINDINGS AND <br /> RECITALS SET FORTH ABOVE,WHICH ARE INCORPORATED HEREIN BY <br /> REFERENCE, THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SAND LAKE, <br /> BURNETT COUNTY, WISCONSLN, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1 - TITLE AND PURPOSE <br /> 1.1 Title. The title of this Ordinance is the Town of Sand Lake Interim Zoning <br /> Ordinance to Preserve Existing Land Use Within the Jurisdiction of the Town of <br /> Sand Lake Pending the Completion of the Town Zoning Ordinance ("Interim <br /> Zoning Ordinance"). <br /> 1.2 Purpose. The purpose of the Interim Zoning Ordinance is to promote health,safety, <br /> and general welfare; to preserve the existing land uses as set forth in the <br /> Comprehensive Plan; and, to provide for prudent land use planning and <br /> implementation based on the findings and reasons set forth in more detail in the <br /> above Recitals, which are incorporated by reference. <br /> Section 2-AUTHORITY <br /> The Town Board relies on its general police powers, as conferred on the Town Board <br /> pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 60.10(2)(c), 60.22(3) and 61.34, and the powers set forth in <br /> Wis. Stat. §§ 60.23, 60.61, and 60.62. The Town Board further relies upon Wis. Stat. § <br /> 62.23(7)(da) with respect to the exercise of interim zoning authority. <br /> Section 3- INTERIM ZONING <br /> 3.1 The Town Board does hereby declare that all existing uses of real property within <br /> the Town of Sand Lake shall be maintained from the date of this Interim Zoning <br /> Ordinance until a permanent Zoning Ordinance is enacted, provided that said Zoning <br /> Ordinance is adopted by the Town no later than two years after the effective date of this <br /> 2 <br />
