No. 3527) removed most of the dam out of the channel without <br /> notification or approval from DNR. We are working with him on voluntary compliance to finish abandoning/removing <br /> the dam to meet our standards.The dam is located in the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 26,Township 38N, Range <br /> 18W. I wanted to give you a heads up if the County has not been notified of the work and that the dam is in a Zone AE <br /> floodplain. While most of the <br /> dam has been removed, it is not in a condition where the Department would considered it abandoned and removed. No <br /> additional work on the dam should take place until a dam abandonment/removal application is approved. In its current <br /> condition, the structure is still considered a dam and is subject to a dam transfer application/approval if the property is <br /> planned to be sold prior to removal approval. <br /> 1 <br />
