8. Refund Policy. Owner cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, televisions, VCRs, or <br /> other appliances. Please report any inoperative equipment to Owner immediately. Owner agrees to make <br /> every reasonable effort to have repairs done as quickly and efficiently as circumstances allow. No <br /> refunds or rent reductions will be made due to failure of equipment or appliances contained within the <br /> Property. Owner shall not be liable for acts beyond its control which may interfere with Renter's <br /> occupancy during the Term,including Acts of God,acts of governmental agencies, fire, strikes, war. If <br /> any such events occur prior to the commencement of the Term and prevent occupancy by Renter, <br /> Owner's sole liability shall be return of any advance monies paid. NO REFUNDS SHALL BE GIVEN <br /> FOR EARLY DEPARTURE OF RENTER(FEWER NIGHTS THAN RESERVED); DELAYED <br /> ARRIVAL OF RENTER; OR A REQUEST TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF NIGHTS RESERVED. <br /> 9. Check-Out Procedures. By Check-Out Time, Renter shall have completed the following: <br /> (a) Put all trash in bags and place the bags in the containers provided. <br /> (b) Clean appliances and work surfaces in kitchen. <br /> (c) Clean all dishes, pots and pans and utensils and put them away. <br /> (d) Leave all furniture and furnishings in their original location. <br /> (e) Leave House looking the way you found it at check in. <br /> (g) Text Linda or Gary at check out so they know you have departed. <br /> (h) Ensure that all doors and windows are secured, locked and deadbolts in use. <br /> (i) Leave thermostat set at degrees. <br /> (j) Turn off all lights. <br /> (k) Vacate the property. <br /> 10. Renter Guarantees.Renter acknowledges that he/she represents all occupants of the Property and <br /> takes full responsibility for the adherence of all occupants to the terms outlined in this Agreement <br /> and in the Lake Home Rental Rules section for the entire duration of the Agreement. Renter <br /> further acknowledges that he/she has read and understands all policies contained within this <br /> Agreement and assumes responsibility for ensuring all occupants of the Property during the Term <br /> of the Agreement are familiar with the same. <br />
