June 4, 2024
The committee had several questions and suggestions on what type of screening and where it
should be. There was also discussion on security.
Supervisor Tucker stated he would trust that anyone that starts a business could determine if they
want fencing or screening around the property to provide security or not. He is in favor of this
application.
Public hearing open.
Mark Krause of Wagner Surveying stated Mr. Sybers required screening between his property
and the applicants. The suggestion for putting screening in the front of the property would not be
recommended because they might put in a frontage road. Mr. Krause suggested leaving the
natural vegetation for screening.
Kenneth Erickson owns the property that Mr. Foeller is leasing and understands people do not
want to see the boats. This business could expand into selling docks, etc. Mr. Erickson will make
sure the property stays cleaned up.
Supervisor Conroy stated Mr. Erickson is the responsible party.
Supervisor Shimanski questioned if this is just strictly boats and not snowmobiles or campers.
Mr. Foeller stated it would be just boats from late August until June typically for seasonal
storage.
Chairman Conroy suggested clumps of trees on the corners of the property for screening.
Mark Krause suggested putting boats that are not picked up, to the back of the property.
Chairman Conroy suggested revisiting this in three years.
Public hearing closed.
The Town of Meenon has approved this request.
Burnett County Staff Report Item — If considering approval then the following item(s) may be
included in the motion; these are part of the guidelines from the staff:
1.
