April 1, 2025 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> PUBLIC HEARING County Surveyor/Land Information Director/Zoning Administrator Jason <br /> Towne read the Notice of Public Hearing as published in the Burnett County Sentinel on <br /> February 26 and March 5, 2025. <br /> BURNETT COUNTY LAND USE/SHORELAND PROTECTION ORDINANCES <br /> MAP AMENDMENT #MAP-25-02 — STEELE To rezone the S '/2 of the SW '/4 of the SW '/4, <br /> Section 20, T39N, R15W, located in the Town of Sand Lake, from A-2 (Agricultural- <br /> Residential) to RR-3 (Residential-Recreation) zoning district. Zoning change requested by Tom <br /> Steele. <br /> Details of the proposed revision are available at the Burnett County Land Services Department, <br /> the Burnett County Clerk's Office, and on the Burnett County website at <br /> http://bumettcountyEi.gov/1 108/Zoning-Divisioii. <br /> Tom Steele stated he has a 20-acre lot and has requested to split it into four five-acre lots so he <br /> can give one to each of his children. He stated Peterson Road would run right past the four lots. <br /> There is a cabin on one of the lots and if he wants to sell it, it would sell with five acres. <br /> Public hearing open. <br /> There were no public comments. <br /> Public hearing closed. <br /> Mr. Towne reported the Town of Sand Lake responded by stating the comprehensive plan limits <br /> support for subdivisions and advocates for keeping lot sizes larger than 2.5 acres. <br /> Committee discussion ensued. <br /> Burnett County Staff Report Item — If considering approval then the following item(s) may be <br /> included in the motion; these are part of the guidelines from the staff: <br /> 1. Follow all local, county, state and federal requirements for this activity. <br /> 2. If indoor plumbing exists then a septic system evaluation form needs to be submitted to <br /> the county by 7/1/2025. <br /> Motion to recommend approving Map Amendment #MAP-25-02 — Steele to County Board was <br /> made by Supervisor Blomberg, seconded by Supervisor Karen Laqua Anderson. Roll call vote: <br /> Supervisor Tucker, yes; Supervisor Moyer, yes; Supervisor Shimanski, yes; Supervisor <br /> Blomberg, yes; Supervisor Chuck Anderson, yes; Supervisor Karen Laqua Anderson, yes; <br /> Chairman Conroy, yes. Yes, 7; no, 0; absent, 0. Motion carried, roll call vote. <br /> Motion to amend the original motion to include staff recommendations was made by Supervisor <br /> Blomberg, seconded by Supervisor Chuck Anderson.
