Mr. Towne summarized the request. It is a campground with ten
cabins. He wants to create three lake lots with a dwelling on each lot. It is reducing the size of
the campground and wouldn't be able to meet the density for today's rules for how many units
he is allowed per developable acre. The ordinance says you can only have five campsites per
developable acre; he does not even meet that now. Chairman Conroy stated this has always been
nonconforming. Supervisor Conroy stated they could ask for a variance from the Board of
Adjustment. Mr. Towne stated the issue is cutting off the three lots and they could still sell it as
is and be able to operate the campground as is. Committee discussion ensued. Mr. Towne stated
if they do a condominium plat, it would be reviewed but would not need committee approval.
PUBLIC HEARING County Surveyor/Land Information Director/Zoning Administrator Jason
Towne read the Notice of Public Hearing as published in the Burnett County Sentinel on
September 24 and October 1, 2025.
BURNETT COUNTY LAND USE/SHORELAND PROTECTION ORDINANCES
MAP AMENDMENT #MAP-25-08 — QUIMBY To rezone the parcels with tax ids: 24163,
24164, 24167, 24168, 24169, 24170 and 24178; with address 12761 Carl Berg Rd; being the NE
1/4 of the NW 1/4, the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4, the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4, and the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4
except the East 36 rods of the North 74 rods, all being in Section 30, T37N, R18W, located in the
Town of Trade Lake, from A (Exclusive Agricultural) and RR-3 (Residential-Recreation) to all
A-2 (Agricultural-Residential) zoning district.
