Spencer House Lane
Surprise, AZ 85387
Dear Landowner:
In August I reviewed your shoreline property in Burnett County. As a condition of receiving a land use permit
from the Burnett County Zoning Department for an addition to your Middle McKenzie Lake home, you will be.
required to restore a natural shoreline buffer.
Your shoreline does not currently meet the buffer standard and you will be required to do some plantings to
bring it into compliance for your land use permit.
At the time of my site visit in early August, there was an area of bare soil where the ground had been dug up
along the shoreline and the sod placed back under a tree. This digging compromises the plants that are holding
the bank in place and any grading such as this within your shoreline buffer area is not allowed. You will be
required to plant and stabilize this resulting bare area near the shore.
I have enclosed a simple site diagram along with a restoration narrative. These will guide you through the
restoration process. I have also enclosed a booklet, "Shoreline Buffer Restoration -A Guide for Landowners".
Please read through this booklet as it will give you all ihP information you need to complete your restoration:.
f Your deadline for completing your restoration will be July 1,2013. If •ou have any questions or concerns
regarding the restoration plan or the deadline for completion, please do t hesitate to give me a call.
Sincerely, _pg4 )
oy
„ T
Paul D.
