Burnett County Zoning Office <br /> 7410 County Road K #102 <br /> Siren, WI 54872 SEP 15 2016 <br /> BURNETT COUNTY <br /> Michael Waltzing ZONING <br /> Whitetail Wilderness <br /> 27211 State Road 35 <br /> Webster, WI 54893 <br /> This letter is to address the concerns you have with Whitetail Wilderness <br /> Sign on the Highway: <br /> Whitetail Wilderness has had a sign on the highway since 1994 and all permits <br /> that were required, were taken at that time. We have provided an aerial photograph <br /> that had been taken previous to the revising/construction of State Road 35 (Picture <br /> 1). The photo clearly shows that the sign is "V" shaped and two sided. We have <br /> also enclosed a picture of the sign, with the artist's name and the year that he <br /> painted it, which is the same year it was installed and the year we opened (Picture <br /> 2). The photograph of the sign (Picture 3) that you had mentioned was taken the <br /> year of the road construction. It was required by the state that we remove the sign <br /> during the construction and we were permitted to have the one sign up to show <br /> where and what our business was. We were told by the state that no new permits <br /> were required as the sign had to be moved because of the construction. After the <br /> construction was completed, we put our business sign back up. The original sign <br /> would never have been moved if it weren't for the highway construction. All <br /> temporary signs have been removed from the highway area. We couldn't have <br /> operated a business for the last 22 years without a sign stating where we are and <br /> what we do, especially as we are not visible from the roadway. <br /> Year around use of sites in RV park: <br /> All of our tenants have the ability to use their site at any time of the year. Our <br /> tenants use them on weekends and for week long vacations. They enjoy summer <br /> and winter activities in Burnett County. Some of our tenants use them as home <br />
