Burnett County Zoning Administration
BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER
Route 1, Box 300-102 hone: 715/349-2138
Siren, Wisconsin 54872
August 24, 1987
Rodney Ripley
321 South River Street
Spooner, WI 54801
Dear Mr. Ripley:
The CSM for Horace Roberts is being returned for additional information.
The Burnett County Subdivision Ordinance adopted March 19, 1987, requ res
that all parcels under 5 acres must have a soil boring as prescribed ly
D.I.L.H.R. 85.06. This soil boring can be shown on the map or on a
separate sheet of paper.
The Ordinance also requires all easements (see attached copy of Artic e III
3.2) be indicated. The reason I mention this point is I was unclear bout
the easement for County E. It appears that there is a 50' easement a ong
at least part of this lot, but then it is unclear as to the easement tIong
the easterly portion of the lot. If I assumed a continuous 50' easement or
right-of-way, there would be a small area between this lot and County E.
There is also a subdivision permit fee of $25.00 plus $5.00 per lot, vhich
we did not receive.
Our Subdivision Ordinance also calls for preapplication and prelimina y
reviews/approvals. With CSM's we are accepting the final map as a pr -
liminary and final if the surveyor wishes to do so.
As expected, we are having some confusion on our part as well as the surveyor,
but for the most part find it very workable and useful. If you have future
questions or if I have missed some of the above information, please contact
me. We are hoping that all the bugs will be worked out very soon and the
maps can be reviewed and recorded in a very timely manner and still have
the necessary information for our zoning and planning needs.
Sincerely,
James P.
