Buchholz, Shane
From: Cook, Paul
Sent: Thursday, June 14, 2018 10:27 AM
To: mccumberstephanie10@gmail.com
Cc: Buchholz, Shane
Subject: Shoreline Restoration for Burnett County Land Use Permit
Attachments: Buffer Resto Site Diagram STEPHANIE MCCUMBER.pdf; buffer resto plan narrative
STEPHANIE MCCUMBER.pdf; mud dump McCumber buffer.jfif
Stephanie:
I recently visited your property at 27927 Sand Lake Rd. in Burnett County to determine what would be necessary to
bring your shoreline buffer into compliance as a condition of your Land Use Permit application.
You have been given a deadline of 11/1/2018 to complete your restoration. I have attached your restoration site
diagram as well as a plan narrative, indicating the trees and shrubs you will need to plant. Part of your restoration
requires the removal of some items within the buffer zone. The item of most concern to me during my site visit was a
large pile of subsoil/mud, obviously generated by digging the concrete footings for the decking. Your shoreline buffer
area, or anywhere near the lake is certainly not a proper area to dispose of unwanted soil from your construction
project. This should be removed immediately. I've attached a recent photo for your reference.
Please review this link to our Shoreline Restoration booklet which has information in it to ensure the success of your
buffer planting:
http://www.burnettcounty.com/DocumentCenter/View/3278
Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks,
Paul Cook
Burnett County
