Thank you for the response, and taking the time to view the parcel. In order to legally place a pier in
Wisconsin's public waters, one must be a riparian owner. We need to see legal proof of ownership to close out
this matter.
Let us know after speaking with the real-estate attorney's mentioned below your planned course of action.
Regards, Dan
We are committed to service excellence.
Visit our survey at http:Hdnr.wi.gov/customersurvey to evaluate how I did.
Dan JHarrington
715-635-4097
Dan.Harrin ton ,Wisconsin.
From: Milltown Dock<milltowndock(a-lakeland.ws>
Sent: Tuesday, May 28, 2019 8:06 AM
To: Harrington, Dan - DNR<Dan.Harrin on(a,wisconsin.gov>
Subject: Re: Minerva Dock/pontoon
Dan,
Good morning. Thank you for being patient as we had time to investigate our legal rights to use the property
we have been discussing. As I said before, we own a marine and this is a very busy time of year for us. We
made time to get to the property this weekend and speak with all parties involved. We feel strongly we have a
legal right to use this land for numerous reasons including old laws, new laws, old public right of way, and the
change in right of way when the road was widened. We found stakes the Zoning office informed us were there
and proves our stand on the right to use the property. Most importantly, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of
properties in Burnett County using land in the same manner. We have been "selected out" and forced to follow
ordinances MOST property owners have not followed, knowingly by many government offices. In our
research, we found this may be better suited for a judge to decide rather than the DNR but would like to know if
you don't think that is the correct avenue to pursue. We want to follow any laws and ordinances applicable and
are not trying to cause any issues for the DNR or Zoning offices. We have selected three real estate attorneys to
have a phone consultation with to determine who best fits our needs providing the DNR agrees it to be civil
4
