It appears from the information you provided that the project <br /> will not have a significant adverse effect on fish and game habitat or public navigational rights. <br /> The project will not adversely affect wetlands as defined in NR 103, Wisconsin Administrative <br /> Code. We have evaluated this activity and determined that it will be conducted in a manner that <br /> will not violate the standards enumerated in NR 299.04, pertaining to Section 401, Water Quality <br /> Certification. Therefore, certification is granted. <br /> The following conditions should be observed during and following construction of the crossing: <br /> 1. Proper erosion control measures must be followed as outlined in Trans. 207.09, Wisconsin <br /> Administrative code, including seeding, mulching, and riprap. Silt fencing, bale dikes, and <br /> erosion matting shall also be installed as necessary. <br /> 2. The streambed and banks shall be restored as near as practicable to their original contours <br /> following completion of the work. <br /> 3. The crossing shall be constructed according to the plan and specifications provided, which <br /> the exception of#8 listed below. <br /> 4. Both end sections shall be armored with riprap to prevent erosion of the roadbed. <br /> Geotextile fabric is recommended as underlayment. <br /> 5. The gradeline of any existing overflow sections passing a portion of the regional flood will <br /> not be raised. "Overflow section" is defined as a segment of the highway gradeline which <br /> will be low enough to allow a portion of the streamflow to pass over the top of the roadway <br /> Quality Natural Resources Management <br /> Through Excellent Customer Service Pnnted on <br /> Recycled <br /> Paper <br />
