BURNETT COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION
BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER
7410 COUNTY ROAD K,#102 PHONE(715)349-2138
SIREN, WISCONSIN 54872
August 3, 2005
Gregory Brady
2243 Tilsen Avenue
St. Paul, MN 55119
Dear Mr. Brady:
I received your letter dated 7-26-05.
Land Use Permits have been required for structures in the shoreland area of Burnett
County since 1971. These Land Use Permits are required to ensure compliance with
county and state requirements of use, setbacks, and size of structures are met.
In answer to your questions:
1) The Land Use/Zoning violation on your property was noticed while doing permit
onsite inspection on and adjoining property. I did not enter onto your property.
2) Citations are used as the means of enforcing our Ordinance. The court date on the
citation is for a plea date only. If a Not Guilty plea is entered, a court date will be
set for a trial at a later date.
3) The fines are not application fees. The fines are set by the Land Use/Zoning
Committee. You could be charged a double fee for an accessory permit; however,
that is not our intention.
4) Yes, the fee for an accessory permit is $35.00.
5) $243.00 is the permitted deposit. $243.00 a day is the maximum forfeiture that
could be charged, if needed to get compliance.
Please contact me if you have any additional questions.
Sincerely,
Jim Flanigan
JF:jn
