I PILLARTOPOST
HOME INSPECTORS PDD
[R 0 [E 0VE01
27 = -9
Il
Burnett County
Land Services Department
December 12, 2019
Mr.Towne,
In response to your letter regarding the signage at 6699 State Road 70.After receipt of your initial
letter in June, I forwarded it to the party who was leasing the property at the time(Douglas Fontaine). He
informed me that he spoke with your department regarding the signage and was working on a solution.
That was the last I heard of anything on this matter. I assumed a resolution was reached however I
received a new letter stating that the signs still need to be moved.
This is a bit puzzling to me since I have owned the property since 2015 and this has never been an
issue. Now,4 years later it is an issue? The previous owner stated to me that he believes the signage was
indeed there prior to 2009. Right now I have no way to confirm this, however it is something I plan on
investigating.
This matter is especially frustrating to me. I am a licensed Home and POWTS Inspector here in the
county and I see zoning violations on a weekly(and sometimes daily) basis. It makes me question why my
sign issue is suddenly something the county insists on enforcing. Is it a personal nature? I have to ask since
from my experience there doesn't seem to be consistency.
If I am unable to determine the signs were there prior to 2009 and you remain insistent that these
signs be removed, I would kindly ask for you to at least be reasonable on the deadline. It is December and
since the signs have already been there for many years not causing any issues whatsoever, I don't
understand the urgency. I feel moving them in the springtime once the weather is warm and all the snow
is cleared makes more sense.Would you agree?
Regards,
/i
rf t
Chad Imme
Chad Imme
5199 State Road 70, Webster, WI 54893
T (715) 791-4119 • www.pillartopost.com/chadimme • chad.imme@pillartopost.com
Independently owned and operated franchise.
