This is the response to some of the questions/concerns raised in the letter. 1- 1 have to deal with the owner of the property; not a lessee, renter, etc. 2- There are multiple sign violations throughout the county, and when I have time to research them they are dealt with. The violation of the flea market in June 2019 brought about me looking into the sign compliance. The sign ordinance has been in place since 2009, it is adopted by the County Board, and I am employed to enforce the ordinances. 3- The current signs were not there in 2009, 1 would encourage you to look at our online GIS mapping and various aerial imagery. I assume you look at our online information as part of your business activities. Also look at Google Street View for properties along main roads. Both of these sources will show that the current signs were not there in 2009. 4- 1 would encourage you to let me know of any other violations you see,they will be dealt with. 5- 1 can assure you it is nothing personal. I have never meet you, didn't know who owned this property, and have no preconceived opinion of you. I strive to treat everyone equally and fair. 6- In 2019 over 200 violation letters were sent to various properties throughout the county for various issues. Of those violations, 24 were for signs, so you are not being singled out or picked on. 7- 1 will revise the removal date to be May 1, 2020.
