is happening right outside my bedroom window and at 75 degrees all the windows are
open. Is there a curfew for bars operating in residential areas?
Thus, I formally request that the Trade River Winery be informed, pursuant to their
CUP, that all of their activities, including without limitation, bands, DJs, PA systems,
winery guests and employees, be enclosed in the 1000 square foot warehouse space
authorized in the CUP granted in 2006. The deck on the back of the warehouse is not
within the 1000 square foot allotment, was not shown on the original drawing and
should be excluded from the CUP as well as the patio.
The Zoning Committee wisely included the limitations in the CUP and should enforce
them. If the winery wishes to expand to either patio or deck, they should request
another CUP. My neighbors and I will surely be at that hearing to discuss the matter.
Until that time, I am confident that enforcing the current CUP by requiring that all winery
activities take place inside the warehouse space until some reasonable hour will fulfill
the committee's original intent and will lower the volume giving us back the quiet
enjoyment that our residential zoning guarantees.
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter. I believe that as
residents we have been patient, allowing the winery due time to effect policies and
procedures that recognize the neighborhood's concerns as stated in the hearing held in
August 2007. They have not. Please keep me informed of the actions taken in respect
of this formal request.
Si AI
Frederick M.
